Introduction
The Cox Graduate Entrepreneurship Club (CGEC) Business Accelerator Program offers an exceptional growth opportunity to SMU students (both undergraduate and graduate) as well as recent alumni who are entrepreneurs with existing startups.
What is the BAP?
This intensive and enriching 6-month program spread out over the fall and spring semesters is a distinctive blend of immersive workshops, mentorship, and access to extensive networks of entrepreneurial and investor resources.

The BAP is 100% student led. We fundraise throughout the year to award winners of the Elevator Pitch Competition and Startup Launch Competition
Awards
Tier 1 – Pre-Seed Funding
The winners of the Elevator Pitch Competition will automatically qualify for the Finalist round of the SMU Startup Launch Competition. For the winners of the best pitches, pre-seed funding and prizes will be awarded to the top 3 teams. In addition, the teams will be awarded the following:
- Early Stage Non- Dilutive Pre-Seed Funding
- Access to Workshops and Resources
- One-on-One Mentoring
- Exclusive Access to Accomplished Entrepreneurial Experts and Fellow Innovators
- Company Workspace
- Business Plan and Final Presentation Feedback
- Chance to Compete for Over $50,000 in Cash Prizes and In-Kind Donations
